The most iconic resort in Las Vegas celebrates six decades with special menus from Gordon Ramsay, Nobu, Bobby Flay, and Guy Savoy, cocktails at $19.66, and a million-dollar renovation underway.
When Caesars Palace opened its doors in 1966, Las Vegas was still a city of supper clubs, showgirls, and suited gamblers. Six decades later, the resort that defined the Strip's imperial aesthetic is celebrating its 60th anniversary with programming that deliberately looks back: menus reviving the continental cuisine of the sixties, symbolically priced cocktails, and a series of luxury experiences designed to reinforce its status as a destination and not just a casino.
The celebration is not solely nostalgic. It coincides with the resort's largest investment cycle in years, which has already renovated the main entrance, the casino dome, and high-limit gaming areas, and which in the coming months will reach nearly a thousand suites in the Augustus Tower.
Cocktails at 19.66 dollars
The bar also joins the commemoration. The Strawberry Wallbanger combines Mutiny vodka, Galliano liqueur, orange juice, strawberries, and tonic water; the 60th Anniversary Old Fashioned comes with Angostura and orange bitters, an Amarena cherry, and a commemorative ice cube, made with Knob Creek Caesars Private Barrel, a single-barrel selection chosen specifically for Caesars Entertainment.
Both are served at 19.66 dollars at participating bars and lounges, another direct reference to the opening year turned into a marketing pitch.
The Next Chapter
While celebrating its history, Caesars Palace continues to inject capital into its future. Recent investments include the redesign of the Flavian Sky Suites, the opening of Palace Court Slots and the Aureus Lounge for high-limit gaming, the debut of Celebrity Food Hall and Caspian's Cocktails & Caviar, and the renovation of Qua Baths & Spa. This year, it also debuted two Presidential Villas in the Colosseum Tower and 29 Sky Villas in the Octavius Tower.
The most visible addition has been OMNIA Dayclub & Skybar, an entertainment complex of more than 4,200 square meters built from the ground up directly on Las Vegas Boulevard. Next on the agenda is the comprehensive renovation of nearly one thousand suites in the Augustus Tower and a new VIP check-in lounge for premium and gaming guests.
The message the resort sends on its 60th anniversary is consistent with what it has done for six decades: turning every celebration into an excuse to raise the bar for the experience and remind us why its name remains synonymous with Las Vegas.
