The upcoming casino and iGaming expos: the global agenda that will shape 2026

No other entertainment industry depends as heavily on its trade show circuit as the gaming sector. Major machine distribution agreements, alliances between operators and platform providers, regulatory debates that subsequently translate into national laws, and the first demonstrations of technology that will take two years to reach the casino floor occur, almost always, in an exhibition venue.

2026 arrives with an especially packed calendar. The consolidation of Latin American markets, Asian expansion driven by Japan and the Philippines, and European regulatory pressure on advertising and responsible gaming make each trade show more than just a commercial showcase: they are the venue where the industry negotiates with itself over where it is headed.

Global Gaming Expo remains the unmissable event. From September 28 to October 1, 2026, Las Vegas will bring together machine manufacturers, land-based casino operators, iGaming platforms, payment processors, and security and compliance providers for four days.

Its influence lies not only in the size of the venue, but in the calendar: what is presented at G2E defines the purchasing roadmap of the major groups for the following year. The latest innovations in cabinets, floor management systems, networked progressive jackpots, and digital identity solutions premiere there before anywhere else.

The Latin American circuit is experiencing its finest moment. GAT Expo, with its editions in Cartagena —traditionally in April— and Bogotá —usually in September—, has consolidated itself as the gateway to the Colombian and, by extension, Andean market. Cartagena functions as a product and technology trade show; Bogotá carries more weight in regulation, compliance, and networking among operators.

Peru Gaming Show, in Lima, maintains its status as the premier industry event in the region. Its 2026 edition does not yet have official dates announced, although historically it is held in June. Joining them is the Caribbean Gaming Show & Summit, which usually alternates between Cancún and Mexico City and has not yet confirmed its 2026 edition.

ICE consolidated its move to Barcelona and remains the largest European trade show for casinos, iGaming, and technology, usually held in January. Its size makes it the continental equivalent of G2E, with a growing presence of Asian and Latin American providers.

SBC Summit, in Lisbon and usually in September, has captured the sports betting, affiliate, and acquisition marketing segment. It is the trade show where the online business shows its real numbers and where affiliates negotiate the traffic agreements that sustain much of the digital industry.

SiGMA has become a global franchise with staggered stops throughout the year: Eurasia in Dubai during February, Americas in São Paulo in April, Asia in Manila in June, and Europe in Malta in November, the latter being one of the largest iGaming gatherings in the world.

Its model combines a trade show, investment summit, and regulatory conferences, which has made it especially attractive for startups, alternative payment providers, and operators seeking licenses in emerging jurisdictions.

The recommendation for operators and suppliers is simple: book in advance only those appointments with confirmed dates, and track those that still depend on an official announcement.
