Epic Games gives away Foretales: the fantasy card game you can keep forever

Epic Games continues its well-known strategy of delivering free games to users through the Epic Games Store. The digital store is renewed every Thursday to give way to a new gift for all PC players, and this time the news will delight those who enjoy card titles: it is now possible to claim Foretales and keep it in the library forever.

Epic Games' conditions for the distribution of free titles remain the same as always. Players have seven days to claim Foretales at zero cost from the app or the store's website. In other words, the game is available until July 30; From then on the system will be updated to present the following gifts.

The title, developed by Alkemi, is described as a narrative card experience. Implementing deck-building mechanics, turn-based battles and a unique board game style: users live a peculiar adventure in a fantasy universe in which each character is represented by a playing card and its corresponding statistics.

As for its story, Alkemi has prepared an adventure that takes players to a world condemned by a dark prophecy. "With the apocalypse getting closer, the decision of what to do with the little time left lies with you," the creators indicate. The title accumulates 86% 'Very positive' reviews on Steam.

If Foretales' proposal is not of interest, it is worth keeping in mind that Epic Games will continue with its tradition of distributing gifts to PC users. The company has already announced the games for the following week: OTXO, a violent shooter with a top-down perspective and roguelite elements, and Sol Cesto, a tactical experience in which mastering luck is key.

Both titles will be available in the store starting July 30, just when the Foretales window expires.
